This book is a dedication to all rape victims/survivors in South Africa and around the world some who were tortured and/or killed in those traumatic incidents. For the innocent children who suffered in the hands of those who were meant to protect them. WHY HOPE MATTERS will offer information on what to do should one find himself/herself in this predicament, where to report, but mostly why people must report these incidents.
It will also assist each and every parent on what to look for in a child: to identify if the child is being sexually assaulted, and why are children reluctant to disclose the sexual abuse. It will offer counselling to these survivors, highlighting the dangers of holding on to the past and offer advice on how to pick up the pieces and move on with their lives in those traumatic situations.
