Dr Richard Oxtoby spent over 30 years lecturing and doing research in the University of Cape Town’s Department of Psychology. He took early retirement from academia at the end of 1999 to devote himself more extensively to corporate consulting, writing books, and his work as Director of the Cape Town Musica Antiqua, and SPEM, the Society for the Promotion of Early Music.
He has written this book as a distillation of what he has come to believe, through his work as an academic and a consultant clinical and industrial psychologist to be some of the most important psychological principles the implementation of which leads to the achievement of maximum happiness, and outstanding success in every aspect of our lives.
