About the Author: David Aaron Chendume was born on 12 September 1960 in Chivi district in Zimbabwe. He has an MED in Educational Administration, Planning and Policy Studies (ZOU), BA in Sociology (specialised in Sociology of Family, Education, Group Dynamics and Social Problems) and Public Administration (UNISA), Diploma in Personnel Management (IPMZ) and Certificate in Education (Andrew Louw Zintec College). Chendume is currently working as District Inspector for Public Service Commission in Zimbabwe. He has worked extensively as a teacher in both Primary and Secondary Schools and as substantive headmaster in the Secondary Sector in Zimbabwe. As a Seventh Day Adventist member, he has served as an Elder, Family life director at Mandiva church and as Zonal Family life director for a number of churches in Zimbabwe. Chendume has presented many papers on family life within SDA churches and other churches, for example, Marriages in flames: The Remedying Dose, Answers to Family Life Issues, A Pleasant Child and Edenized Homes: God’s Pleasure. He and his wife, Edith have five children, three are grown-ups and two are in their late teens..
